Two rail lines meet over NEX, so your teaching radius doubles
Serangoon is one of the handful of stations where the North East Line and the Circle Line share a concourse, with the bus interchange stacked underneath NEX. For a tutor that geometry is worth real money in hours saved: a Kovan or Woodleigh slot in the late afternoon and a Bishan, Paya Lebar or Dhoby Ghaut slot in the evening are one transfer apart, and Lorong Chuan, Bartley and Tai Seng sit inside the same easy ring. Tutors who build a Serangoon base tend to end up covering both the north-east HDB precincts along Upper Serangoon and central catchments they could never string together from a single-line town.
